AS I HAVE done for the last three years, in February I went to Las Vegas to celebrate my birthday.
(At least that was the reason they said they were willing to fly into Vegas. Maybe next year I will announce I want to spend my birthday in, say, Topeka, Kansas, or Bismarck, N.D., and I'll see how many relatives will claim they won't be able to join me because they'll be engaged in washing their hair over that long weekend.) ... |
