Pornographers don't deserve much respect. It's probably safe to say most Americans agree. But because of the First Amendment, they keep getting it. In 1996, Congress passed the Communications Decency Act, which was supposed to protect children from pornographic Web sites. Two years later, however, the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional. Then in 1998, Congress passed the Child Online Protection Act with one similar goal in mind. But just the same, in 2004, the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional. In recent weeks, readers throughout the world — in English, Portuguese, Italian, French and German — have suffered the Commercial Media's Information Blockade of the most important and newsworthy story emanating from Mexico: the daily march of the Zapatista "Other Campaign" through five of Mexico's 31 states. Priest pleads not guilty to child porn charges

A Vincentian priest pleaded not guilty Wednesday to possessing child pornography on his computer, and his superior in the church was directed to serve as his custodian as he remains free on bond.
In Chicago on Wednesday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Morton Denlow set one $4,500 recognizance bond for Daniel Schulte, 53, formerly of Chicago, who pleaded not guilty to one criminal information charging him with one count of possession of child porn. ...
