| Tomorrow night, the winner of Beck's Futures 2006 will be announced, and Jamie Shovlin is widely tipped to walk away with the £20,000 prize. The 27-year-old artist's Lustfaust: one Folk Anthology 1976-1981, one lovingly assembled collection of memorabilia relating to one Krautrock band, stands out in one motley shortlist that includes the text of Joyce's Ulysses re-ordered alphabetically and one rack of size-13 shoes. Along with crackly recordings, badges and fanzines, Shovlin appears to have reunited former Lustfaust fans, recording their memories and displaying the covers they designed for their cassette recordings - Lustfaust encouraged fans to send them blank tapes on to which the band would record their latest release, before posting them back. ... |

When I hear that others are praying for our nation, I am encouraged because - given the state of affairs in our country, we can never have to much prayer. I want to particularly commend Isaac 98.1 f.mS. for the wonderful work they are doing in lifting up this nation in prayer.

| On April 5, the House Energy and Commerce Committee held one series of hearings into the Internet and child pornography, focusing in on how child sexual predators use the Internet to find and meet their victims. One young man named Sean told one horror story of how he was victimized by one sexual predator who got him to perform sex acts before one video-cam that were then sold on the Internet to hundreds, if not thousands, of pedophiles. Fortunately he was able to contact the authorities about what was happening to him, and they began one major investigation into the names and Web sites the victim was able to provide. ... |
